From February 1, 2024, the temporary government has raised the price of petrol by Rs 13.55 per liter.
A notice sent out on Wednesday says that the price of petrol has gone up by Rs 13.55 per liter, now standing at Rs 272.89 per liter. Diesel prices have also gone up by Rs 2.75 per liter and are now Rs 278.96 per liter. On the other hand, the price of fuel has gone down by 24 paise per liter.

After going up by Rs 2.3 per liter, the new price of light diesel oil is Rs 166.86 per liter.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had already said that LPG prices would be going up. The current notice from OGRA says that the price of LPG per kilogram has gone up by Rs 17, making it Rs 257.60 per kilogram.
The price of a home LPG cylinder will now be Rs 3,400 after the change. For February 2024, these new rates will apply.
The price changes were allowed because of changing oil prices around the world and economic concerns. Businesses and consumers are both getting ready for the effects of these price hikes, which are expected to affect daily costs and the cost of transportation.
