  7. Be careful when the ‘deal seems too good to be true’
  8. Do not invite strangers into your home.
  9. Be especially careful buying/selling high value items.
  10. Tell a friend or family member when you are meeting with buyer or seller.
  11. Take your cell phone along if you have one.
  12. Consider having a friend while dealing.
  13. Trust your instincts.
